There are now so many attributes a cell can have (transparent, ignored, locked, etc.) and several of them, including the ones just listed, have no visual counterpart. So it can be hard to tell what is up with a sheet. There needs to be some way (that might need to be able to be turned off and on) to see the attributes of the cells in the sheet.
