This is another issue reported by Matt K:
One thing that i’m struggling with now is the order of listings. I use a plugin called advanced post type order from here: https://www.nsp-code.com/premium-plugins/wordpress-plugins/advanced-post-types-order/ https://www.nsp-code.com/premium-plugins/wordpress-plugins/advanced-post-types-order/
For some reason it doesn’t affect the order that sites appear when using this plugin. The advanced post type order plugin worked fine when i was using other plugins to display such as essential grid.
Without being able to affect the order that listings appear I may have to just write a custom shortcode and avoid TablePress altogether. It was just nice being able to use the magic tags from the browser and change the layout of the tables.
Matt, before I start investigating someone else's plug-in and how it might interact with this one, please let me know if you can obtain the ordering you need with the Tablepress Row Order extension. If that doesn't work for you, I will look into this interaction.
Even in that case, I can't reasonably purchase the Advanced Post Types Order plugin for the sake of debugging the interaction, but I will attempt to get tablepress-pods working with the free version, Post Types Order. Then hopefully if I accomplish that, it will work with Advanced Post Types Order as well.
Looking forward to hearing whether Tablepress Row Order solves your situation.
Given there's been no further clarification for a year, closing.
